Manchester United have been linked with a move for Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder even before Louis Van Gaal took charge of the Red Devils in the summer. We have also been reporting over the past few days that reigning Serie A champions Juventus are very much intersted in the player.

Sneijder’s current club Galatasaray also mentioned that would be looking for offers for the 30 year old. Bianconeri manager Max Allegri had also earlier expressed his admiration for the playmaker and stated that he was a “feasible luxury” for his side.

However today’s reports from the trusted and Gianluca Di Marzio website claim that Galatasaray have set a €20m price tag on the player and there is very little chance now that Sneijder will join the Turin side. The reports states that there was a meeting between Sneijder’s agent and two Galatasaray directors, Abdurrahim Albarak and Ali Durust- and the outcome was clearly visible: The player wants to stay in Turkey.

It is also believed that Sneijder was used as the club’s material asset for the upcoming home games and Galatasaray fans have been very vocal to see their prized asset in action. The recent developments also comes a major blow for United who now might have to look elsewhere to find a player of his potential rather than pay €20m for an ageing player.
