Louis van Gaal has been handed a massive boost when Manchester United face Arsenal at the Emirate on Sunday. The Telegraph reports that star striker Radamel Falcao will be in contention, along with the central defending duo of Phil Jones and Jonny Evans. The Colombian international arrived on-loan from AS Monaco and is yet to play a full 90 minutes for the 20-times English champions. Before the Chelsea clash, the former Atletico Madrid and FC Porto star picked up an injury during the training session. Since then, Falcao has missed Chelsea, Manchester City and Crystal Palace fixtures with a calf injury. Meanwhile, Evans has been on the sidelines since Leicester City defeat and Phil Jones also picked up an injury in the training before Chelsea match. Falcao, Evans and Jones were not called by their respective national teams during the two-week international break. The trio were at the AON Training Complex and were completing their rehabilitation in order to be fit for the weekend clash. These three players are in the contention to travel to London along with United squad for the Gunners tie. Van Gaal will also welcome Chris Smalling back into the squad after the England international missed Palace fixture due to suspension. With Evans, Jones and Smalling being made available, it should give a major boost for United when they face Arsenal, who are also struggling with injuries after losing several key players.
