Arsenal star, Mesut Ozil could leave the London club next summer, claimed the player’s agent.

The German international is a target for Turkish outfit, Fenerbahce, and will evaluate his options at the end of the season. Although his agent refused to rule out a move, he did mention that Fenerbahce are very serious about his client and they will asses the situation at the end of the season.

“At Arsenal, Mesut is very successful in his performances,” he said.

“It’s too early to talk right now. But you cannot know the conditions. Fenerbahce seem serious about Mesut.”

“It is difficult to predict in advance how Arsenal would respond. At the end of the season, we’ll see.

The Turkish league seems to be morphing into a home of ‘out of form players/players past their peak’, off late. Players like Robin Van Persie, Podolski, Sneijder, Markovic and Nani have left bigger clubs for a new adventure in Turkey.

It will be interesting to see if Ozil follows suit, especially at his age, when he has so much more to offer at the highest level. Although the former Real Madrid man has struggled to recapture his best form at Arsenal, he could still be a star in a top league, in the right side.
