Manchester United striker Angelo Henriquez has expressed his wishes to extend his stay with Dinamo Zagreb.
The Chilean striker, who joined Manchester United from Universidad de Chile in 2012, has scored 11 goals in 17 games for Zagreb since he moved in August on loan.
Dinamo are hopeful of signing the 20-year-old on a permanent deal, and Henriquez also wishes to remain in Croatia.
“Dinamo is making an effort to buy my contract from Manchester United, which means they are satisfied with me,” he told the club’s official website.
“I feel great at Dinamo and in Zagreb, I feel great on and off the pitch and that is why I want to stay here. People here accepted me, I’ve gained many friends, Zagreb is beautiful city and the fans love me too.
“We are on the way to win the double and to compete in Champions League qualification and I am looking forward to being a part of that.”
Moving away from Old Trafford will be the best decision for Henriquez at the moment, as he won’t be getting regular games under Louis van Gaal.
Also, he has settled in nicely at a new club and performing well. Moreover, he should be looking to further his progress and then can move to a big European club later in future.
