Arsenal are close to agreeing on new deals with French duo Francis Coquelin and Olivier Giroud. Both players are in advanced negotiations with the London giants and are expected to sign new contracts with the club shortly.
Coquelin has two-and-a-half years remaining on his current deal and will sign a new contract which will keep him at the club until 2021. Meanwhile, Giroud has been offered a one-year extension on his current deal, which expires at the end of next season. Coquelin’s new deal will see him double his current wages of £40,000-a-week.
Daily Mail are also reporting that Arsenal are confident of agreeing on a new deal with Mesut Özil, as well. The German has recently bought a new house in London, and it is unlikely that he will choose to relocate soon. The Gunners are hoping to seal a five year deal with Özil worth around £200,000-a-week.
However, agreeing on a new deal with Alexis Sánchez will be challenging. The report adds that the Chilean has received a mega offer of £400,000-a-week from theChinese Super League and is holding out for more than what Arsenal are willing to pay.
