Colombia won the hearts of neutrals in the FIFA 2014 World Cup in Brazil. There have been some great individual performances which will long live in the memory of football lovers. Juan Cuadrado and James Rodriguez became new superstars while collectively Colombia produced some fascinating football to cherish about.

While much hype was devoted to the aforementioned duo, the guy with big gloves under the bar, deserves equal credit for his outstanding World Cup campaign, if not more.

According to the latest report from The Times, Arsenal are showing great interest in signing David Ospina and are closing in on securing a £3.2m deal for the Colombia goalkeeper.

The 25-year-old has been playing for Nice since 2008 and has made over 175 appearances for the French club.

Arsenal were also linked with a move for Real Madrid goal keeper Iker Casillas with Spanish reports even claiming that Arsene Wenger had tried to convince the Real Madrid to join the Gunners over phone, but following his disastrous campaign in the World Cup, probably the focus has been shifted elsewhere.

The Gunners have already signed Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona and are trying to secure a deal for German midfielder Sami Khedira as well.

Will he be a good signing for the Gunners Share your reactions below or let us know on twitter @Soccerlens
