With January transfer window just more than a month away, transfer market is just starting warmed up at the moment and since Arsenal are top of the Premier League and in need of few players, quite naturally top stars are getting linked with the North London club.
According to Daily Star, Arsenal are plotting a January move for PSG’s unsettled Argentine play maker Javier Pastore. The 24-year-old has found first team football harder to come by this campaign under new boss Laurent Blanc, despite enjoying two brilliant seasons with PSG since joining from Palermo in 2011.
As per the report, the Gunners tried to sign the play maker before, in the summer transfer window and therefore would reignite their interest again. As for Pastore, who netted 24 goals in 90 games since moving to the Parc des Princes, lack of first team football could be guiding factor for him to leave the club, with Liverpool and Roma have also registered their interest.
Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has had offers to join several club in the summer but the Frenchman says he is pleased to return to Arsenal and can see himself ending his career here.
“I had the possibility of other clubs in Italy, in England, in Germany even. But for me it was the chance to come back to Arsenal, with the team we have right now, to work with Arsène Wenger again,” revealed Flamini.
“It was basically him who introduced me to the top level. He brought me into the Premier League and into the Champions League, so I didn’t think twice when I had the chance to come back.
Former Arsenal midfield star Alex Song prefers a move to Serie A as per reports from Tutto Mercato. It is understood that AC Milan and Inter Milan are both interested in him, though Song has been in very good form this season with the Catalan giants and has received high praises in the media as well.
Arsenal will be boosted the comment made by Schalke 04 star Julian Draxler, who has made a come-and-get-me-plea to top English clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.
“I like English football. I like the Premier League of course – it’s one of the best leagues in the world,” Draxler told BBC Sport.
“You have big clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea – of course it’s a big dream to play for one of them. I have my favourite team, but at the moment I’m at Schalke. I don’t want to talk about other clubs.”
And finally, Arsenal target Antonio Sanabria, 17-year-old Paraguayan striker who is regarded as most promising forward to emerge from La Masia academy, could be available for £3m only, as per reports from Sport.es in Spain.
