Arsenal vs Borussia Dortmund Arsenal vs Borussia Dortmund Good News: Koscielny included in the squad vs Borussia Dortmund

Ahead of the Gunner’s Champions League tie with German giants Borussia Dortmund tomorrow, we bring you the latest Arsenal InjuryNews.

France international Laurent Koscielny is set to return after a long spell on the sidelines. Koscielny didn’t feature for the Gunners since Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat away to Chelsea in October.

The 29-year-old aggravated an Achilles injury whilst on international duty and everyone expecting him to be out for few months more on the sidelines.

However, he surprised everyone by joining the Arsenal training session in the morning and Wenger has told reporters in the pre-match press conference that Koscielny is fit enough to be in the squad. We are not sure however, whether he will be fit enough to start the match tomorrow.

“He is in the squad for tomorrow,” said Wenger, as quoted by ESPN. “It is very good news because he has been out for while now and defensively we are short in numbers. It is good to have his quality back.”

Meanwhile Wenger confirms that Jack Wilshere will miss out for few games at least after suffering an ankle sprain.

Wilshere limped out of the pitch in last Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at the Emirates, and it seems like Wenger will have to set his team without the England international for few games at least.

“He has a big ankle sprain,” Wenger continued. “I don’t want to talk about it because I’m not a specialist medically. The first news is we are told he will be out for the next few games. For how long, he will need to see a specialist.”

Furthermore, goal keeper Wojciech Szczesny and winger Theo Walcott will join Wilshere on the sidelines against Dortmund on Wednesday.

The Gunners are almost certain to qualify from Group  D. The North Londoners have 7 points from 4 games and a victory on Wednesday would certainly seal their place in the second round.
