Gareth Bale managed to put his recent bad performances behind him after he scored two and assisted two in Real Madrid’s 7-3 victory over Sevilla yesterday.
Bale was under a lot of pressure when he arrived at the Bernabeu after being bought for a record fee of £85m. And his first few performances raised the question of whether he was worth the money or not. Even after scoring on his debut, his performances were unsatisfactory. He was constantly being called worse when compared with Barcelona’s Neymar.
He managed to turn it around though, last night. Two goals, two assists and a man of the match is enough to put him back on form, and it will silence some of the press who were constantly speculating.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti stated “everyone saw the real Bale. He showed fantastic skills. It takes time to adapt but it’s a necessity. Now that he’s fully fit, he’ll be more important for us in the future”.
Ancelotti had previously stated that Bale’s poor form before the Sevilla game was the Wales manager Chris Coleman’s fault. But now he’s back in form, he will be hoping to keep up the good words.
