Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, has emerged as the number one target to replace Carlo Ancelotti at Bayern Munich.
Bayern are going through a mini crisis at the moment. The Bavarians have dropped points against Hoffenheim and Borussia Dortmund at the start of this month, and find themselves trailing behind Leipzig by six points at the top of the table.
Furthermore, a surprise midweek Champions League defeat to Rostov has only increased the pressure on the Italian boss.
There is a growing feeling in Germany that further slip-ups could cost Ancelotti his job. The Bundesliga champions view Klopp as an ideal replacement. However, it won’t be easy to persuade him to quit the Liverpool job. Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers last season, and led the Reds to two finals. Liverpool lost the League Cup to Manchester City, and were beaten by Sevilla in the Europa League final.
In his first full season at the club, Klopp has transformed the Reds, and they are looking to mount a serious Premier League title challenge this season.
