Sometimes he sends me some messages and sometimes people from Liverpool come and visit me in Lille. It’s good to know they are following my progress.”

Origi also believes that it is important to continue his fine form in the season and he needs to keep working hard to prepare for a higher level. Liverpool’s tough start to the season has seen them pick up 10 points from 7 games. However Origi is optimistic that results will improve.

“It’s a new era and everything will go well. They have a fantastic team: Balotelli is a great striker, they have Daniel Sturridge and they have Raheem Sterling – one of the best young talents in the world.”
