It was a tight and low scoring match that would end up in a draw.

Arsenal had more possession and shots but wouldn’t find the back of the net until the 81st minute with Samuel Nasri scored.

Birmingham would reply with a 90th minute goal from Kevin Phillips to get a 1-1 draw.

It was a strong defensive performance from City who continue to be a very difficult team to beat at St Andrews. The draw will hurt Arsenal’s title hopes but they are still alive in the race.
