Liverpool have suffered a blow in their chase to sign Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri in the summer, who has ended all speculations claiming he wants to continue with the German club.
English media claimed that Liverpool have stepped up their chase for Shaqiri, with The Metro claiming the Reds want to wrap up the deal before the World Cup.
Swiss newspaper Blick however claimed that Shaqiri may opt to stay with the Bavarians beyond the summer. The winger has had a tough time in getting regular games under Pep Guardiola, having only managed only 10 starts in the last campaign.
Shaqiri, a naturally gifted winger, with excellent dribbling prowess would definitely be a top signing for Liverpool, but it seems the winger is not too keen at the moment to make the jump elsewhere.
The 22-year-old, who has a market value of €20m now openly commented on his future and ended all speculations, by saying – “I will stay at Bayern Munich”
