The Netherlands would win keep their winning streak alive with a 2-1 win over Cameroon.
It was a meaningless match as Cameroon’s chance of advancing were gone after their second match and the Dutch had clinched their spot.
The goals for the Dutch were scored by Robin Van Persie in the 36th minute while Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored the other in the 83rd minute. Cameroon’s lone goal was by Samuel Eto’o who converted a penalty kick in the 65th minute.
The Netherlands will face Slovakia in their knockout stage match and are looking like one of the contenders to challenge for the title.
