Camoranesi agent says Birmingham move is possible

Camoranesi agent says Birmingham move is possible

Jun 30, 2024 1:46 PM

The agent of Italian winger Mauro Camoranesi has confirmed that his player may well head to Birmingham City, if current club Juventus were to contribute to the payment of fees.

World Cup winner Camoranesi, 33, is looking for a move after being at the Italian giants since 2002, and it’s been confirmed that Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish has made a bid to bring the veteran to St. Andrews. Speaking to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, the player’s agent Sergio Fortunato stated:

“Birmingham There was an official contact. A FIFA official gave me a letter from their directors. They have made a proposal and I discussed it Tuesday with Juve’s leaders.

If Juve contribute, he may leave. It is in the hands of the Juventus directors, and I will meet them in the coming days.”

So Alex McLeish looks to strengthen his side even more after the signings of Ben Foster from Manchester United, Nikola Zigic from Valencia, and Enric Vallès from NEC Breda – but will it mean even more Premier League success than last seasons of a ninth place finish; their best yet
