Celtic fans slam Scott McKenna’s display for Scotland

Celtic fans slam Scott McKenna’s display for Scotland

Oct 6, 2024 5:25 AM

Celtic were linked with a move for the Scotland defender Scott McKenna earlier in the season.

Brendan Rodgers tried to sign the player but the never quite materialised.

Now the Celtic fans are not too sure about signing the player after his latest performance for his country.

Scotland were beaten by Kazakhstan 3-0 yesterday and McKenna produced a below par display for his side. He was at fault for two goals and he will be bitterly disappointed with his showing.

McKenna has done well in the Scottish Premiership but his display at the international level was shocking and he will need to improve a lot if he wants to get a move to a big club like Celtic.

He wasn’t the only player who played poorly for Scotland but the hype surrounding the player has made him an easy target for the critics.

Celtic fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on McKenna and his performance against Kazakhstan last night.

Here are some of the fan reactions from earlier.

Anyone who thinks McKenna should be anywhere near Celtic Park is clueless

If nothing else comes of this Scotland performance it proves McKenna is not good enough for Celtic.
