Former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba is odds on favourite to sign for Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea this summer.

Chelsea are set to announce the signing of Barcelona forward, Pedro this week and now if the betting rumours are to be believed, it seems the Blues are looking to press ahead with a £70m move for the Juventus star, Paul Pogba.

Chelsea were made favourites to land the French midfielder after a flurry of bets yesterday.

Michael Bowers, Football Trader for Betfair, said: “After a flood of bets on Chelsea to sign Paul Pogba, the Blues have been cut from 7/1 to 6/4 favourite.

“This market has attracted a huge amount of attention in recent weeks, with all the momentum behind Barcelona and Man City to win the race for the player’s signature.”

Juventus have already lost the likes of Tevez, Pirlo, Vidal this summer and will be reluctant to let go of Pogba as well.

However, if Chelsea can table a mega bid of 70 million pounds (which is believed to be the asking price), Juventus might find it hard to turn down.

Although the financial situation has improved for the Italians since their consecutive title wins and reaching the final of the Champions league, in reality they are still playing catch up with the big boys and a transfer like that could secure their financial future.
