Chelsea offer four-year-deal to Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri

Chelsea offer four-year-deal to Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri

Oct 10, 2024 10:23 AM

Guus Hiddink doesn’t want to continue beyond the end of the season, which means Chelsea will have to sign a new manager in the summer.

Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone has emerged as a prime target for the Blues, but there are other candidates as well that are equally good enough for this job.

For instance, Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri dreams of an opportunity to manage a big Premier League club, and therefore he could be tempted to join Chelsea in the summer.

In fact, according to Italian website Calciomercato, Allegri has been offered a four-year contract worth £5.7m per season by Chelsea.

Allegri has done a great job with Juventus since taking charge at the club in 2014. In his first season in charge he won a domestic double and led the Old Lady to the Champions League final, which they lost to Barcelona.

After going through a torrid start in the league, he has guided his team to a terrific recovery, with Juventus jumping to second in the table following 13 consecutive victories.

Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly shown an interest in Allegri. Reports surfaced in Italy that the 48-year-old might be approached to replace Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford, but Allegri insisted that he is committed to Juventus for at least one more season.
