According to reports from the Telegraph, Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is open to move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window. The veteran Czech shot stopper has emerged as a surprise candidate to replace David De Gea who looks set to join Real Madrid at the end of the season.
The 32 year old Cech has played second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois and is unwilling to spend another season on the bench. The reports states that Chelsea have informed Cech that they will not stand in his way if he wishes to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
Arsenal are also interested in Cech but a move to United would appeal to the player according to his client. The goalkeeper’s agent, Viktor Kolar, claimed, “Arsenal, United or PSG are all top clubs. And Petr would like to join one of them, definitely. Petr expects that [Chelsea owner Roman] Abramovich, not Mourinho will decide about his future, based on their mutual agreement from last year.”
It is believed that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has given Cech the opportunity to sign for any interested club as a reward for his eleven years of service to the London club.
