Chelsea have confirmed that the 22-year-old striker Patrick Bamford has joined Norwich City on loan for the rest of the season.
The highly rated Chelsea striker returned to Stamford Bridge after an unsuccessful loan spell with Crystal Palace and will now try his luck at Carrow Road.
The English forward is expected to join up with Alex Neil’s side soon and could make his debut against Tottenham tomorrow.
Bamford has joined the Premier League outfit on loan for the rest of this season to continue his development as a player with regular first team football.
The young striker had an outstanding season in the Championship last year and finished as the player of the year. The Chelsea striker scored 19 goals in the Championship with Middlesbrough.
Alex Neil’s side are fighting for survival and will be delighted with the addition of a goalscorer. Bamford will add some much-needed sharpness to the Norwich attack and could guide them to safety.
The likes of Redmond and Brady have created considerable opportunities for Norwich so far, but the Canaries have missed a clinical presence upfront and Bamford is expected to fill that void.
