Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan has been linked with a move to Chelsea over the last few weeks.
The Roma midfielder is a player in demand this summer and is a target for Chelsea as well as Manchester United.
He has now fuelled further speculations surrounding his future by claiming that Chelsea have indeed submitted an offer for him.
He said: “They want to strengthen and moreover you have a coach like Antonio Conte who has always wanted to sign me”.
“There has been contact between the two clubs, but as long as there is no agreement reached, I’ll stay well out of it. Chelsea are a great team and it’s good to be appreciated by them”.
The 28 year old midfielder is one of the best players in Serie A and could be a tremendous addition to the Chelsea midfielder. The Blues are in desperate need of some depth and quality in central midfield and someone like Nainggolan could lay the foundations of a title winning side alongside Matic and Fabregas.
Former Juventus manager Antonio Conte has liked the Roma player and is now ready to sign him for his new club.
In other news, Chelsea are also looking to sign an alternative to Nemanja Matic and are in advanced talks to sign N’Golo Kante from Leicester City.
The French midfielder was Ranieri’s most important player last season and had a remarkable season as he helped the Foxes to Premier League glory. Kante is a target for Arsenal and PSG as well.
Chelsea’s first choice defensive midfielder, Matic, had a season to forget last year and the Blues are keen on adding some depth to the position.
Kante is one of the best defensive midfielders in England and perhaps second only to Manchester City’s Fernandinho.
