Super Sunday’s late kick-off sees Chelsea face Manchester United in a fixture that’s bound to have spread bettors licking their lips.

A Chelsea Win

Buyers of Chelsea’s win index with Sporting Index will be confident that The Blues can extend their impressive home record over Sir Alex’s side. They now have not lost at the Bridge in seven matches since the 2001/02 season. In that time Chelsea have won three and drawn four of their previous meetings.

Those spread punters willing to take on Carlo Ancelotti’s side will point to the fact that United managed a one-all draw in the corresponding fixture last season, after a late equaliser from Solomon Kalou. But there will be plenty of spread bettors happy to go against the Champions and sellers of their win index will be delighted with Chelsea’s recent form. In the last eleven days they have recorded four wins, scoring 17 and conceding none in all competitions.

This will be Carlo Ancelotti’s chance of a second win in this mouthwatering fixture, although the first was on penalties at Wembley in the Community Shield. Both he and supporters of his side on the spreads will be hoping that this first competitive meeting doesn’t end in defeat.

Spread buyers of Chelsea’s match supremacy will point to the fact that both of United’s defeats have come on the road, at Burnley and Liverpool. Although United have not been so defensively strong at home this year, they have kept it tight away from Old Trafford conceding just four, the least in the league. But those looking to buy Chelsea’s supremacy will argue they also have a stand-out defensive record at home this season. The Chelsea manager has guided his team to five wins from five, scoring fifteen while conceding just once.

Bet on a Late Goal

Sporting Index’s total goals market often provides plenty of debate. Buyers and sellers of goals will be interested to know that the last four matches at Chelsea between these two sides have produced eight. United are the fourth top scorers away from home this season with ten, but sellers of the total goals market will point out that United have not been involved in an away game that featured three or more goals since mid-September.

Those spread bettors looking to buy total goal minutes with Sporting Index will be aware that there have been some late goals involving these sides. The last two league fixtures at Chelsea’s ground against United have produced some exciting finishes, including an 80th minute equaliser and an 86th minute winner for the home side.

These top-four fixtures can be extremely fiery encounters and punters looking for a spread bet on the total bookings market will remember last year’s particularly hostile game. The referee, Mike Riley, issued a total of nine yellows, of which eight were shown to United. The last four league fixtures at Stamford Bridge between these sides have accumulated 90 pts, 70 pts, 70 pts and 50 pts between them.
