Stoke City have confirmed the signing of Bojan Krkić from Barcelona on a four-year deal on Tuesday evening.

“Spanish ace signs four-year deal as City secure fifth signing of the summer. STOKE CITY are delighted to announce the signing of Bojan Krkić from Barcelona on a four-year contract,” a statement read on Stoke’s official website.

The 23-year-old is Potters fifth signing on the ongoing summer transfer window. Stoke’s chief executive Tony Scholes expressed his delight after adding Krkić to his side’s squad, who is an academy graduate of Barcelona’s famous youth setup – La Masia.

“We are delighted to have signed such a richly talented and exciting player, who is still only 23,” Scholes explained.

“A number of other clubs had expressed an interest in him but Bojan believes joining Stoke City will benefit his career and we have no doubts he will prove to be a wonderful addition to our squad.”

“The signing of Bojan, along with the other players we have recruited ahead of the new season, underlines the progress we are making as a Club,” he added.
