EPL Week 17 Fixtures: Make Your Premier League Predictions & Win a Lamborghini Gallardo

EPL Week 17 Fixtures: Make Your Premier League Predictions & Win a Lamborghini Gallardo

Nov 14, 2024 12:41 PM

Chelsea have sacked Jose Mourinho but will the new manager – Hiddink or whoever else – be able to spark a turnaround in fortune against Sunderland

Arsenal take on Manchester City with a chance to put some distance between themselves and their closest realistic title challengers, although if Leicester are still top in the New Year, there will be a different look to the title race.

United could be the next club to change managers despite the massive vote of confidence handed by chairman Ed Woodward a couple of weeks ago – since then United have continued to embarrass themselves in the league and Europe – could a change happen before the transfer window opens

Premier League Gameweek 17 Predictions

Chelsea v Sunderland – Chelsea face one of the few teams actually below them in the league table – and history suggests that with the manager gone and the spotlight now on the players, Chelsea’s underperforming bunch will step up and win the game and try to prove that it was Mourinho’s fault all along.

Chelsea 2-1 Sunderland.

Everton v Leicester – If Leicester were ever going to lose, this is it. But would you bet seriously bet against a team that’s gone from bottom of the league to top in 12 months

Everton 1-1 Leicester.

Manchester United v Norwich – Now or never, or just never LVG needs a win especially with the rumours of a Chelsea-style player revolt on the cards at Old Trafford. He will get it, but only because Norwich are no good.

United 3-0 Norwich.

Southampton v Tottenham – Tottenham’s chance to push for that Champions League spot – they’ve stuffed opportunities like this before but they are a different team now, and the Saints are not at their best.

Southampton 0-1 Tottenham.

Stoke v Crystal Palace – Two good sides with two good managers, despite the entrenched critics for both. Separate by 3 points in the league table but should be neck-and-neck after the weekend – Bojan FTW.

Stoke 2-0 Crystal Palace.

West Brom v Bournemouth – Two big wins for Bournemouth (and they can claim Mourinho’s sacking too) but they are still 4 points behind the Baggies and have a -11 goal difference. League table (market) correction in order.

West Brom 2-0 Bournemouth.

Newcastle v Aston Villa – the answer to the trick question – the two teams with the worst morale in the Premier League (at least at Chelsea all the players have stuck together to get rid of Mourinho). Still, Newcastle are better than Villa but that is no win.

Newcastle 3-0 Aston Villa.

Real Madrid v Rayo Vallecano – A thrashing on the cards or another nail in Benitez’s oversized coffin That may have been a bit harsh, but not even close to the abuse he will be getting from Madrid fans and press before and after this game, regardless of the result.

Real Madrid 4-1 Rayo Vallecano.

Watford v Liverpool – Klopp doesn’t like Pulis, but he’s got bigger problems this season, especially with a squad that isn’t strong enough to finish in the top four. However, away day tactics are his forte, so expect a strong performance.

Watford 1-2 Liverpool.

Swansea v West Ham – A win for West Ham as they sort out a Swansea team that been directionless for far too long.

Swansea 1-2 West Ham.
