Everton and West Ham United are keeping tabs on Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.
The 22-year=old Japanese international has been heavily linked with Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks.
According to Il Resto di Carlino, Everton are looking to sign a new right-back this summer and Tomiyasu is on their radar.
The Bologna defender can also operate as a centre-back and could prove to be a quality addition to Everton’s defensive options.
The Hammers also need to strengthen at the back, and it is no surprise that they are monitoring Tomiyasu.
He will be hoping to join a club where he can play regular first-team football, and Everton and Tottenham are more likely to offer him that platform.
The Toffees are looking for a long-term replacement for Seamus Coleman, and Tomiyasu could be an instant starter for the Merseyside outfit next season.
Matt Doherty and Serge Aurier were mediocre for Tottenham this past season, and the Londoners desperately need a new full-back.
West Ham have Vladimir Coufal as their first-choice right-back, and he has been excellent since joining the London club.
They would struggle to accommodate Tomiyasu in their starting line-up next year.
