Everton linked with Marcelo Bielsa, Leeds United fans react

Oct 7, 2024 6:27 AM

Everton are apparently considering Marcelo Bielsa as a replacement for Marco Silva.

The Everton boss has struggled to get his side firing so far and he could be out of a job if things do not improve immediately.

Silva was backed heavily during the summer window but his signings have failed to transform the side so far.

Everton hierarchy would have expected a lot more return after the investment.

According to Mirror, Bielsa is being looked at as an alternative should Silva fail to deliver.

The Leeds United manager has worked wonders at Elland Road so far and the Whites are favourites to secure promotion to the Premier League.

Bringing him to the Premier League would certainly be an interesting course of action.

Bielsa has the quality to manage a top team and Everton would benefit from having a world-class coach like him.

Having said that, Bielsa is a fan favourite at Leeds United and the Championship giants will not want to lose him at any cost. Also, he might want to finish his project at the club by helping them succeed in the Premier League next season.

Leeds fans have now reacted to the links on Twitter and are here are some of the tweets from earlier.

Not a chance he leaves Leeds. He is on a mission

Oh Dear !! Look at the man and see what he is about. It’s not about money for this guy he loves football and the group of players who he as grown to trust and love. You would have thought the gutter press was a little more educated than that. #lowlife

Bielsa is far to much of a noble man to walk away from Leeds. Wouldn’t happen. I’d put my life on that. #lufc

I really doubt that MB would leave us now. He’s built a bond with the club, the players and the fans, and I think he’ll see this job through to the end.
