Real Madrid are ready to make another approach for the Manchester United superstar David De Gea.
The Spaniard’s transfer to Real Madrid collapsed on deadline day last summer and the Spanish giants are ready to come back in for him once again.
De Gea has had a phenomenal season and has been the main reason why Manchester United’s season is still alive. The Red Devils could still end up with a trophy and a top four place, despite their poor form all season.
Club president Florentino Perez is apparently keen to boost the shirt sales and is, therefore, looking to sign De Gea. Despite his quality performances, Keylor Navas is not quite the merchandise seller according to reports from the Spanish media.
Furthermore, the temptation to sign the best Spanish keeper and keep him at the club for the next decade is also hard to resist.
The fee for De Gea’s transfer is already decided, thanks to a release clause in his newly signed contract. It is unlikely that Real Madrid would object to paying the supposed sum. Apparently, De Gea has a 40 million euro release clause and Real Madrid are willing to pay that in order to sign him this summer.
It will be interesting to see if Real Madrid do come back in for De Gea once again and how Manchester United react to this. Without De Gea, the Old Trafford outfit could easily have finished in the midtable this season.
