Football Leaks have been providing some interesting information regarding player contracts through certain media outlets, and their latest revelation shows that Messi and Ronaldo have been surpassed in terms of weekly earnings by aChinese Super League footballer.

Cristiano Ronaldo signed a new five-year contract with Real Madrid in November. As per the media reports, the Portuguese forward is currently earning around £365,000 per week. Lionel Messi currently earns around £270,000-a-week, but the Argentine superstar is in line to receive a bumper pay rise when he signs a new contract with Barcelona. Ronaldo’s Real Madrid teammate, Gareth Bale, also signed a new deal with Los Blancos recently and is earning more than £350,000 after tax.

Football Leaks have revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are earning a lot less than the highest earning footballer, Ezequiel Lavezzi. As per the latest report, the Argentine winger picks up around £493,000 per week. Lavezzi joined Hebei China Fortune earlier in 2016. The 31-year-old winger was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in 2015.
