Inter Milan are up to something. They are planning to sign several top players next season, with president Erik Thohir looking to spend heavily in the summer.
Thorir doesn’t want to do anything fancy straightaway. The Indonesian businessman is looking to fix the economic structure of the club slowly but Italian media understands that the Nerazzurri are working hard to land quality players next season.
Inter have already registered interest in Chelsea striker Fernando Torres and Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata, and now SportMediaset claims the Citizens are targeting to land Manchester City’s star striker Edin Dzeko as well.
Earlier this month, La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Serie A giants Juventus are also targeting the Bosnian striker.
Dzeko earned the epithet of super-sub at City, as the Bosnian was mainly used as sub in the City’s star studded team. However, he has still bagged crucial goals for the club and this season has netted 12 times in the league.
The 28-year-old is a physically strong striker who has got great technical abilities. Inter are ready to offer €20m for his services. Well, they may not provide Champions League football to Dzeko, but the Bosnian will get regular games under his belt at San Siro.
Most importantly, Dzeko has a contract till 2015. So, it could be a tempting offer for City to cash in on a player who will be 30 in two years’ time from now.
