Manchester United goal keeper David de Gea has suffered a finger injury during training at the Nuevo Colombino stadium in Huelva.

The 24-year-old during his training at the Spain national camp, suffered an injury in his little finger on the right hand, as a result of which couldn’t finish the rest of the training session. The Spaniard was trying to save a low drive shot from Paco Alcácer, when this injury happened.

De Gea is attended by Spain’s team doctors and was immediately withdrawn from the training. The youngster, who missed the World Cup with a muscle injury, is likely to miss out Spain’s next two international matches.

Spanish newspaper AS reports that De Gea has aggravated an old injury suffered on little finger. The doctors will access his situation in the coming days but it is almost certain that he could be rested for Spain’s next two games against Belarus and Germany, mainly on precautionary grounds.

Judging from the report, it seems like the injury is not that serious. But, we will get a clear picture on this matter in few days’ time. With so many players out injured, especially defenders, last thing Manchester United fans want is injury to their star goal keeper. United fans can only hope he stays fit for their upcoming Premier League tie against Arsenal.
