Fulham vs Manchester United: Match Preview, Team News, Key Stats & Prediction

Manchester United will travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday, where manager David Moyes would be looking to stretch their winning run to four games.

The Red Devils are finally looking to get back into some sort of form after a stuttering start to their league campaign and seems like the players are slowly gelling well into Moyes’ system, as they managed three consecutive victories in three different competitions. They defeated La Liga outfit Real Sociedad by a slender 1-0 margin at Old Trafford in the Champions League. This was followed by a thrilling 3-2 victory against Stoke City, where Man Utd reignited their old habit of scoring late and in the midweek the Champions trounced a helpless Norwich side at home.

However, there are plenty of works remain to be done. Defence is still a major worry for the Red Devils, as they conceded 12 goals so far in the league, same as their opponent on Saturday.

Fulham are marginally over the danger zone at the moment lying at 14th place with  just 10 points but they could very soon find themselves languishing in the relegation zone, should they suffer defeats against Man Utd and Liverpool the following weekend respectively.

With just 1 game won at home, it’s hard to see them getting any positive result against United. Further, they are coming into this match on the back of a shock 4-3 defeat at the hands of Leicester City in the Capital One Cup in the midweek and are bereft of confidence at the moment.

Team News:

David Moyes has almost a fully fit squad at the moment, but Danny Welbeck set to miss out once more with a knee injury. Fulham striker Hugo Rodallega is doubtful with a groin injury while defender Brede Hangeland could miss the tie too.

Key Stats:

Both Fulham and Man Utd have conceded 12 goals in the Premier League this season.Fulham have the worst cross completion rate in the top-flight (14%)United have a league-high 21 yellow cards this season, only eight short of the total they recorded in the whole of the 1993/94 season.Wayne Rooney has scored or assisted 11 goals in his last 15 Premier League away games while Dutch striker Robin van Persie has scored six goals in his last seven Premier League away games.

Prediction: 0-2, Expect Man Utd to dominate the match and earn a convincing victory. The Red Devils are 8/13 with Ladbrokes to win the game at Craven Cottage.
