According to reports from the trusted and reliable Gianluca Di Marzio website from Italy, outspoken Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero has opened doors at his club to sign Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli in the summer transfer window.
When asked whether Sampdoria would be willing to sign Balotelli, Ferrero said, “Balotelli at Sampdoria If the player comes to Italy he would have open doors.” Balotelli has struggled at Liverpool ever since his £16m transfer from AC Milan last summer.
The Italian striker has scored just 3 goals in 21 appearances for the Reds and there are suggestions that he hasn’t been able to adapt in England.
This coming summer will see a lot of changes in the Liverpool squad with several players heading towards the exit, while the club will be active in their recruitments. Moving to Italy will be an enticing move for Balotelli as the 24 year old will get a chance in his home country to rebuild his reputation and also work himself back into the national team.
However it will be interesting if Liverpool do keep Balotelli, giving him another chance or force him out of Anfield. Also will Sampdoria meet Liverpool’s evaluation for the player
