Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho suffered a blow after Brazil coach Dunga decided to drop him for the next month’s 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
He was dropped in August for the friendly fixtures, but injuries to Chelsea star duo of Oscar and Ramires forced the manager to recall the 23-year-old midfielder. Brazil lost the opening qualifier fixture 2-0 to Chile.
However, the five-time world champions bounced back with a victory over Venezuela. Brazil face Argentina and Peru in space of five days on 12 and 17 November respectively. Coutinho, who was sidelined with injury returned to action.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the former Inter Milan man has been snubbed for the clash against Argentine and Peru next month. Coutintho had a poor 2015 Copa America and it could be the reason for his omission.
Liverpool summer signing Roberto Firmino has also not been included in the Brazil squad. He is suffering from a back injury, which he sustained last month and has just returned to training, which was confirmed by the Merseyside club’s new manager Jurgen Klopp.
Barcelona star Neymar has been recalled as he served he completed his four match suspension. His return to the team is a massive boost for the South American giants for the crucial clash against Argentine and Peru.
