Liverpool are making smart moves in the transfer market and the fans can expect a few top signings in the summer, if the media reports are believed to be true.
The Reds were linked with a move for Porto’s highly rated winger Christian Atsu in the past week, and according to reports from the Guardian, both the clubs are in advanced talks with Liverpool aiming to wrap up the deal for the 21-year-old for a paltry fee of just £3m.
Don’t let the price tag fool you. The Ghana international is highly rated in Portugal but the player is in his final year of his contract and has made it clear that he won’t sign a new deal, hence the reduction in transfer value.
Moving on to some ‘done-deal’ news – Liverpool have successfully sold Andy Carroll to West Ham United, after the striker completed his medical last night.

Liverpool are also trying to put up a possible deal for Shakhtar Donetsk’s £22m-rated midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The Reds have finalized the deal for Sevilla’s young forward Luis Alberto. The 20-year-old, who impressed everyone with his performances last season at Barcelona B, will return from holiday for a medical test and will sign a four-year-deal with the Merseyside club.
Though it hasn’t been made official but according to ever reliable @BarcaStuff on Twitter, the Anfield club have closed a deal for £8.2m plus £1.8m as incentives.
Finally, no bids have been placed for Schalke 04’s highly rated defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos but according to Goal.com, the Reds are confident of signing him.
