Manchester United are prepared to block Victor Valdes’ transfer to a Premier League club.

The Spanish goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Chelsea and Liverpool.

Although Louis Van Gaal has already made it clear that the former Barcelona man is out of favour at Old Trafford and has been frozen out, the Premier League leaders will not allow their player to join an English club.

Victor Valdes arrived at Manchester United with the hope of furthering his illustrious career at a great club, but unfortunately it never quite worked out. The former Barcelona man fell out with Louis Van Gaal and was ordered to leave.

The Spaniard had all but secured a transfer to Besiktas on deadline day, but the Turkish outfit altered the terms of his contract and the player had to pull out.

Back at Manchester United, Valdes expected to get his chance when De Gea left. However, a delay in paperwork meant that David De Gea never completed his move to Real Madrid.

A victim of circumstances, Valdes is now looking to cut short his Manchester United adventure and get back to playing football.

Manchester United are happy to cancel his contract and let him leave, but the Premier League outfit have made it clear that they would only do so if Valdes joins a club outside of England.

Chelsea were looking at the Spaniard after an injury to Thibaut Courtois, but it seems Van Gaal will block any move to a title rival.
