It seems like Manchester United are hell-bent and ready to go to any extreme to sign Southampton’s highly rated left-back Luke Shaw.
The 18-year-old has been one of the stand out performers of Southampton this season and has been rightly selected in England national squad for the World Cup in Brazil.
Earlier this week, reports emerged that Manchester United have lodged a £27m bid for Shaw, who is also a reported target of Chelsea. That bid was immediately rejected as Southampton continue to maintain their stance, the player is not for sale at the moment.
According to reports from The Guardian, Manchester United are convinced that a higher offer would be enough to test Southampton’s resolve and that the deal will be completed once Louis van Gaal is appointed as the new manager.
United will make Shaw the highest-paid teenager in domestic football history by offering him a £100,000 a-week salary over five years.
While there is no doubt that Shaw is a highly talented youngster and could become one of the best left-backs in few years time but isn’t £30m too much for any young player
