A host of European clubs are considering making a formal move to sign Valencia’s highly rated winger Sofiane Feghouli.
Super Deporte in Spain covered a story yesterday that first originated in Italy’s Corriere dello Sport, where they claimed Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea had stepped up their interest in the Algeria international.
Premier League clubs Liverpool and Tottenham are also reportedly interested in the Valencia winger, who will be out of contract next season.
Likewise, there is a strong interest from French club PSG and Italian clubs Roma and Inter Milan as well.
Fenerbahce are also seemingly interested in signing him and as per newspaper ‘Fanatik’ the turkish club would be willing to pay €4m-per-season for his signature.
Feghouli can negotiate and sign a pre-agreement deal with any foreign club from 1st January.
Manchester United seem to be leading the race, with the Red Devils having reportedly made an approach for the winger, however, they may face a strong competition from Chelsea.
Feghouli is reportedly happy in Valencia and wishes to continue his football career at the Mestalla. He has ruled out a possible move to any other league / club except the Premier League as he feels it will be a step backward from Los Che.
The scouts from Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG have watched him regularly this season, especially in the Champions League.
Feghouli’s representatives will meet with the Valencia hierarchy to discuss about the winger’s future.
He is likely to reject offers from Spurs, Roma or Inter, but would prefer a move to United or Chelsea – clubs that can offer greater financial rewards and a platform to play alongside world class players and win more trophies.
