Everton manager Roberto Martinez has made the first move to sign Arsenal and Liverpool target Loic Remy in the summer.
The Merseysiders have indicated that signing Romelu Lukaku permanently next season will be difficult hence they have made the first move to sign Loic Remy, the Queens Park Rangers striker who spent the past season on loan at Newcastle United.
The French striker has a £8m release clause in his contract at QPR and according to The Times is expected to be a target of several other top Premier League sides including Arsenal and Liverpool.
The report says Arsenal who have been monitoring his situation are looking for a striker who can play anywhere along the front line.
Everton have qualified for the Europa League and feels signing a striker is top priority and are willing to offer Remy a lucrative contract.
Chelsea are demanding £25m asking price for Lukaku, (who has attracted interest from Spurs )which Everton are not willing to meet.
