Sevilla defender Alberto Moreno is travelling to Liverpool with agent-father Javier Moya, to complete his move to the Anfield club.
According to Sevilla based newspaper Estadio Deportivo, the deal is all set to complete within next few hours. The player is travelling with his father to Anfield to complete a €20m deal, plus add ons.
Moreno, the highly rated Sevilla defender, remained tight lipped when asked to comment on his future recently. He said:
“All I know is I’m a Sevilla fan since I was kid. I don’t know about any moves, my father and agent are handling that.”
However, Spanish media constantly speculated that Moreno is close to joining Liverpool, with Mundo Deportivo claiming last week the 21-year-old will be given a five year contract as the negotiation between the two parties have gone well.
And earlier this month, Spanish daily Marca also claimed that Liverpool are certain to seal the deal for Moreno, who was also a reported target of Chelsea.
As it stands, Moreno could become third major signing of the season for the Reds. Liverpool have already signed Rickie Lambert from Southampton and had agreed a deal in principle for Emre Can.
