According to reports from the Mirror, Manchester United are plotting £25m summer move for Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen to replace David De Gea, the latter who could move to Real Madrid. Cillessen started every match for Netherlands under Van Gaal at the World Cup last sumemr in Brazil as they finished in third place.
The report states that Van Gaal has turned his attention to the 26-year-old on the advice of the Old Trafford giants’ goalkeeping coach Frans Hoek, who is believed to be one of his most trusted lieutenants. It is believed that Hoek rates Cillessen very highly thanks to the player’s technical ability and natural athleticism, the similar traits as De Gea.

Dutch outlet De Telegraaf also have quoted Mark Overmars, the director of football at Ajax that the club will do everything possible to keep hold of Cillessen.
Another media outlet Het Parool also have quoted Overmars saying, “He is not for sale. No, not even for 25 million euros”
However despite such claims it will be interesting to how Ajax manage to keep themselves from getting enticed for the cash on offer for Cillessen.
