It’s official now. Southampton have confirmed today that young defender Calum Chambers has completed his move to Arsenal.

The Saints via their official website confirmed the player’s departure for an “undisclosed fee” however going by the media reports, Arsenal have shelled out around £16m on the young defender.

The 19-year-old is primarily a right back though can play in multiple positions. He just played just 18 times for Southampton though is seen as a bright prospect for the future.

He has become the fourth signing of the club, following the arrivals of Alexis Sanchez, David Ospina and Mathieu Debuchy from Barcelona, Nice and Newcastle United respectively.
