Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that he will wait to see if new signing Mohamed Salah is available for selection against Manchester City.

The 21-year-old joined the London outfit for a reported fee of 11m during the January transfer window and became the first Egyptian to sign for Chelsea.

Mourinho added that Salah’s fitness will be assessed ahead of the match, as he hasn’t played recently, because FC Basel have been on a winter break.

Salah in his first interview, spoke of his excitement as said: “Premier League is a fantastic league and this is my dream to play in the Premier League, but now I play in one of the big teams in the Premier League, it’s fantastic.”
