Arsenal will travel to Germany to face Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, where a victory for the Gunners will give them an upper-hand in the race to qualify from their ‘group of death’.
The Gunners are flying high in the Premier League, occupying the top spot and five points clear of their nearest rivals. They are on same points with Napoli and Dortmund in the Champions League as well, which makes the contest even more fascinating.
In their last European game, Arsenal suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Dortmund, where striker Robert Lewandowski scored the winner in the dying minutes of the match.
Arsene Wenger will miss the services of Jack Wilshere and Kieran Gibbs for this tie, through injuries. In the defence, Nacho Monreal will take the place at left-back, in absence of Gibbs. Koscielny and Mertesacker would pair at the centre of defence while Bacary Sagna will start as right back.
Wenger would stick with the same squad that earned a 2-0 victory over Liverpool on Saturday, so, either Ramsey or Rosicky would start alongside Mikel Arteta.
The attacking trio would consist of Santi Cazorla, Mesut Ozil and in-form midfielder Aaron Ramsey, while Olivier Giroud will start as a lone striker.
