Arsenal will take on London rivals Fulham at the Emirates on Saturday in the Premier League, looking to keep their top position intact.
The Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has hailed the team’s consistency this season and admits that in a close title race, every game is massive for the club.
While all the talks are centered about possible players coming in for the Gunners, Wenger maintained that the club is not close to signing anybody, while hinted that Per Mertesacker and Bacary Sagna’s contract could be extended soon.
Regarding team news, Wenger confirmed that both Nacho Monreal and Tomas Rosicky will undergo a fitness test and hopes that both of them will be alright.
So, in the defence, expect Wenger to start with his trusted back four – Gibbs on the left, Koscielny and Mertesacker at the centre, while Sagna as right-back.
In the midfield, Mikel Arteta will miss out as Wenger insisted the Spaniard is still not ready to start. Same applies with Aaron Ramsey as well. Thus, expect Jack Wilshere and Flamini to take charge in the central midfield roles.
In the attacking department, Olivier Giroud will start as a lone striker, while Lukas Podolski may come in for Santi Cazorla.
Prediction: 2-0; Arsenal are undefeated in their last 12 home matches against Fulham in all competitions, so expect a comfortable victory for the Gunners.
