Games are coming thick and fast in the Premier League and squad depth of Liverpool will be tested now. The Reds face West Ham at Anfield on Saturday lunch-time kick off, where Brendan Rodgers would be hoping to see his side continue playing in the same form that dismantled Norwich City 5-1 on Wednesday.
Rodgers said that Liverpool must not depend too much on Suarez but against Norwich, it was the Uruguayan who made all the differences, producing one of the best individual performances of the season so far.
Team News: Daniel Sturridge still remains injured and will be out of action against the Hammers as well. Iago Aspas, who came on as a sub in the dying minutes of the match against the Canaries will be looking forward to getting some game time.
Defence: This is one area where Rodgers will have to take a bold decision. He must find a solution to stop leaking goals. They have just managed only 1 clean sheet post September and that is not a good sign. Agger was beaten in the air quite a few times against Norwich and Mamadou Sakho could be used in his place.
Midfield: Joe Allen did a good job against Norwich and could retain his place against the Hammers as well. Else, Lucas, who missed the game in the midweek, could return.
Forward: Raheem Sterling scored his first goal of the season which will lift his confidence a lot and the youngster should continue on the left hand side in the coming matches. Suarez will continue to operate as a lone striker in absence of Sturridge.
Prediction: 3-1; West Ham’s record away from home isn’t impressive while Suarez is on fire at the moment. Expect a convincing home victory for the Reds.
