Chelsea vs Arsenal

The Blues are heading into this fixture on the back of a convincing and moral boosting 4-0 victory over Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the Champions League on Wednesday. Jose Mourinho will be looking to translate that form into the league, as the Blues simply cannot afford to lose grounds to leaders Manchester City any more.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has yet to win against a Jose Mourinho’s side and the Frenchman probably won’t get a better chance to do it again this Saturday. They say strike while the iron is hot. An Arsenal victory and consequently a victory for Manchester City will probably put an end to all thrills of the title race as early within September.

Southampton vs Manchester United

The Champions League midweek didn’t go according to plans for United and louis van Gaal. The Red Devils suffered a shock 2-1 to PSV in the first match of the Champions League, a game where defender Luke Shaw suffered a horrible leg injury that could force him out for the rest of the season.

Ronald Koeman’s side hasn’t hit full strike this season. The Saints are lacking in consistency and it seems the Dutchman hasn’t found the right balance and combination for his team yet.

Liverpool vs Norwich

The Reds are struggling badly. With two back to back defeats and self belief torn to shreds, Liverpool desperately need points on the board.

Norwich picked up their second victory of the season last week against Bournemouth and would be happy to face a Liverpool side without Luis Suarez, who has scored 12 goals in just six games against Norwich. Alex Neil’s side has suffered only one defeat away from home this season, but can they get pick up points from Anfield
