FONTWELL 4.25

SEA THE CLOUDS (system – Jamie Snowden, third run in a bumper)

Jamie Snowden shows plenty of patience with his bumper runners and brings them on steadily, after a couple of runs they tend to hit form. Had we backed them blindly on their third run we’d have won 11 of our 38 bets and made a profit of £18.55 to a £1 level stake at SP. He has two horses entered that fit the bill, the pick being SEA THE CLOUDS. He got stuck in the ‘swamp’ on the inner at Fakenham on debut but still ran well to finish second to Gallopade who franked the form when going in again next time.  He ran to a similar mark next time at Ludlow, holding every chance before fading late to finish a close up third. Sea The Clouds’ owners ValueRacingClub.co.uk have a 35% strike rate at the track, with seven of their 20 runners tasting success and they have a solid chance again this afternoon.

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.30

ELOSO (system – Robyn Brisland, switchers, second run for the yard)

Robyn Brisland does very well with horses he takes over from other yards, especially at the second time of asking. Had we backed all 66 qualifiers, we’d have found 13 winners (19.7% strike rate) with a £38.50 profit to £1 level stake at SP. ELOSO was beaten a neck on her stable debut at Lingfield and now switches to Tapeta for the first time- it could be a winning move as progeny of her sire Kodi Bear have an excellent record at this venue, with 16 winners from 65 runners, a near 25% strike rate and an impressive return of £80.48 to a £1 level stake.
