COMMODORE MILLER, who did really well to run second here at Fakenham on his hurdles debut last year after racing in the ‘swamp’ on the inside rail, can go well on his handicap debut.

Since the beginning of 2015, Jimmy Moffatt has an eight from 44 record (18.2% strike-rate) at the first time of asking with horses he takes over from other trainers and backing them blind would have returned a profit of £42.00 to the usual £1 stake. RAPID FLIGHT, whose sole success for Nicky Henderson came in May, can make a winning start for new connections.

MCCANN THE MAN (system – Fountain Of Youth, turf, recent run)

Progeny of the sire Fountain Of Youth are showing a profit of £307.63 to a £1 level stake at SP when running in Flat turf races after a recent outing (four weeks or less). MCCANN THE MAN has had excuses so far this season, running as though the outing were needed when fourth at Windsor before failing to settle under a 7lb claimer when fifth at Nottingham. The cut back to 7f looks a good idea and Hollie Doyle takes the ride.
