Chelsea midfielder, Charly Musonda, has had a mixed career on loan at Real Betis.
The Belgian winger joined the La Liga outfit on loan during the second half of last season and managed to impress thoroughly. He even managed to pick up a man of the match award against Valencia during his first season with Betis.
Betis decided to renew the agreement for the entire season, and Musonda stayed in Spain. However, the player has been plagued with injuries, and he has had to return to Stamford Bridge more than once in order to get his injury looked at.
It is understood that Betis are frustrated with the situation and are likely to end the loan agreement in January. Spanish outlet, Estadio Deportivo, are reporting that all signs point towards Musonda’s exit from Betis.
In that case, Musonda is likely to complete his switch back to Chelsea next month. The likes of Anderlecht have been linked with the player, and it will be interesting to see if the Blues are willing to loan him out for the rest of this season.
The Belgian is one of the most talented young players around and will need to play regularly in order to develop and fulfil his potential. Considering Hazard and Pedro‘s form this season, it will be impossible for Conte to accommodate Musonda at the same time.
