According to reports from Spanish media outlet AS, Barcelona are prepared to sell Pedro to any club who are willing to pay €30m for the winger’s services in the upcoming summer transfer. The Spaniard’s contract with the Catalan giants runs till 2016 but it is believed that Pedro is unhappy over the lack of regular game time at the club.
Luis Suarez’s arrival from Liverpool in the summer has seen Pedro fall down the pecking order under manager Luis Enrique. However, the Camp Nou outfit regard Pedro as an important player in their squad but are prepared to sell to an interested club if the right offer comes along. The recent developments would come as a huge boost to all of Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool who are interested to sign the winger.
Arsenal have been linked with the 27-year-old for a long time and the Gunners made several inquiries last summer. He was close to sign for the Gunners before the London club sealed the transfer of Alexis Sanchez.
With Pedro having only a year left to run on his current deal this summer, Barcelona would thus try to to cash-in at the end of the season rather than risk to lose on a free when his contract expires.
